Black Nightshade Tara Quartz is a powerful and rare specific type of quartz crystal from Brazil that has been heavily saturated with black tourmaline and other dark mineral inclusions, giving it a deep, almost black appearance. Geologically, this is a variety of quartz with abundant inclusions of minerals such as black tourmaline (schorl), riebeckite, and lithium, sourced from a single mine in Ipupiara, Brazil, that is reportedly no longer actively accessed for new material, making it quite scarce. The black coloring comes from these dense mineral fibers within the quartz matrix, rather than the clear blue tourmaline (indicolite) inclusions found in the standard Blue Tara Quartz. It is much deeper in the mine than Blue Tara is.The combination of tourmaline and quartz makes it a powerful, naturally occurring blend of grounding and amplifying energies.
