Fenster Quartz, often referred to simply as "Fenster" (German for "window"), isa rare and highly prized variety of natural quartz crystal known for its unique internal structure and profound metaphysical properties.

 

Geologically, it is a form of quartz characterized by complexly formed internal "windows" or cavities within the main crystal body. These windows can resemble skeletal or layered formations, which often look like intricate, labyrinthine patterns when held up to the light. This skeletal growth pattern is due to unstable temperature and pressure conditions during its formation, which causes the edges of the crystal to grow faster than the faces, leaving hollow "windows" that contain water bubbles and sometimes moving inclusions (enhydro bubbles). The most famous sources for true Fenster Quartz are Brazil and the Swiss Alps, with a high concentration of the finest quality crystals coming from the Diamantina region of Brazil. 

 

Metaphysically, Fenster Quartz is considered an incredibly high-vibration "master stone," valued for its ability to enhance meditation, inner vision, and access to higher knowledge.
